Spray Wash & Immersion Cleaner
MET-KLEEN 118 can be used as a universal cleaner to consolidate to one product in most plants. This premium cleaner is formulated with a lower pH and alkalinity than most metal cleaners, making it very user friendly for operators and non-staining to sensitive alloys. MET-KLEEN 118 can be used in all types of industrial spray wash applications, from single stage washer to multi-stage washer and intensive flood washers. This versatile cleaner can also be used in soak tanks, agi-lifts, and in manual cleaning.
MET-KLEEN 118 will clean most industrial soils and leaves the part with a very light film for rust protection. This product is designed for use on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
MET-KLEEN 118 does not contain nitrites or silicates. It is available in pails, drums, totes, and bulk. Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for additional physical and chemical properties, associated hazards (if applicable), and procedures for safe handling and proper storage.
*Oil-rejecting cleaners split oils to the top for easy skimming. Oil-dispersing cleaners break up the soil into fine particles, which are then suspended and flushed off the surface. Emulsifying cleaners break up and suspend loosened dirt to keep it from settling back on the cleaned surface.
**Higher temperatures generally provide better cleaning and/or a faster cycle time.

Use a QualiChem Alkalinity Test Kit (QAT001) or equivalent with 1.0N sulfuric acid. Determine the number of drops necessary to cause the color change. Multiply the number of drops by the titration conversion factor below to determine the percent concentration: Drops x Factor = % Concentration
